Just a message to say a huge thank you on behalf of myself and my two friends who had a bit of an unfortunate time with a separate bar last night. Your door staff were very professional and understanding about the whole situation last night and so kind to us. Your bar staff were also second to none- making sure we were all okay and that my friend was well looked after and okay after the whole ordeal. It's not hard to be kind in this world- and your staff in that bar and on the door last night really reminded us of that after the events that had taken place earlier. I have messaged the other bar's Facebook page to acknowledge the unfortunate situation that took place last night and hopefully it will be put to some use, but again I just wanted to thank you all on behalf of us all. Brilliant place and we absolutely will be coming straight there whenever we are in Carlisle! Thank you so, so much! To add to this review, drinks were excellent and poured promptly. We had no wait time and were comfortable standing at the bar. It wasn't too crowded and had a lovely atmosphere too. Thanks again!
Nice warm atmosphere at a volume that you can chat at. Great beer choice for the bar size and downstairs area for more space. Discovery of new stout topped off the night. Bar prices normal not the cheapest however the quality of the drinks merited it.
Found this place while in Carlisle, little place, very comfortable seating but, the Theakstones Barrister Stout on draught is unbelievable, as the name suggests, it has the smell of coffee and undertones of dark chocolate, expensive but delicious, shame they don't sell this in Newcastle.
Loved this bar! Had a good old chat with the bar staff about their selection of gin. They even let us smell the different ones they had while chatting about them. Very friendly, good cocktails. Made for a very nice laid back evening ...
Great little bar with a large beer outside area out the back. Good atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks.
Love The Crescent, visit every time we are in Carlisle for a couple of Barista beers. Never found this beer anywhere else yet and it's so nice. The venue is very popular and they sometimes have live music too.
The Crescent Bar has a great cocktail menu. I tried the long island ice tea, which was excellent. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Great little pub in Carlisle city centre. No fruit machines or giant TVs, always a plus!
